The Nuns Took Me In is the first of the two convent stories on Candy Shorts and, with its companion, one of the reasons the 'nun' searches spiked across the network.

Where The Nuns Took Me In begins

Caught in a storm far from anywhere, you find a remote chapel and knock. Two nuns let you in. They have not had a man under their roof in years, and the longer the rain lasts, the less their vows seem to weigh.

Their hospitality starts with dry clothes and a warm meal. It does not end there.

Opening: knocking at the chapel

The first episode is the arrival in the storm: candles, wet clothes and two women who are far more curious than they should be.

Behind the lock: unholy hospitality

The locked episodes play out the stay, with the two nuns competing and cooperating in ways that would scandalise their order.

Heat check on The Nuns Took Me In

Open On our four-step heat ladder The Nuns Took Me In sits on the first rung: open section, no famous name, 12 tokens a locked episode. Open titles keep the camera on build-up, near-misses and suggestion rather than full explicit scenes. How the rungs are defined: all series by heat.

The religious setting is the whole taboo, and the double act of two nuns gives the open-shelf story more edge than most. It remains below Spicy explicitness.
