Sworn to the Queen: the guard outside her door

Where Sworn to the Queen begins

In this realm, a commoner who lays a hand on the queen pays with his life. So when the young queen, just 22, chooses the lowest-born soldier of the guard to keep watch at her bedroom door, the honour feels like a trap.

Night after night she tempts him to break the law, and night after night the penalty stands between them.

Opening: the appointment

The first episode is the guard's unexpected promotion and his first night at her door, with the queen making her interest obvious.

Behind the lock: the dare

The locked episodes test how long duty and fear can hold against her provocations.
